GAUS Admin Page

Basically a giant TO-DO list and a way for all of us to stay organized and coordinated.

Unfortunately since GAUS is a static site, I can't actually make it so that you guys can directly edit this page. But if you need to add something or give an update just text me or text here.

This is still not very well organized but it'll get better as I figure out everything.

Article WIPs

Send me updates on the articles you guys are working on and I'll update this section accordingly. This list is in order of priority. Articles at the top we need ASAP.

• Yumn Case Timeline - Noah
• Gangs Bill Explanation - (Rewriting this again)

• Ashaavees Project Explanation - (Waiting on more information from the people behind the project) (Still no updates) - This will just be included in the community board... No need for a full fledged article.
• Impeachment of supreme justices - Next in line

  • Torture during Maumoon Era
  • Anni selling Islands + Impeachment of supreme justice
  • Yameen Money Laundering Scandle + Journalist oppression
  • Spread of corruption within ministries during Ibu Era

• Long term Articles

  • Healthcare system failiure - Aasandha implimentation, cases of hospital negligence, cases of medicine running out or not being offered, process of applying for healthcare abroad through aasandha.
  • Bloating of ministries with useless political appointees - Zinmaadhaaru Project has a list of political appointees from most ministries and the presidential office, we need to condense those information and figure out state budgets and everything
  • Leakage from tourism - We'll need revenue from resorts and also information on how resorts are taxed by the government; probably will be some news articles about this topic too that we can use as a starting point.

Collaboration Plans

These are some of the other projects and people which we have plans on collaborating with in the future. Most of these I'll just display on the community page.

• The international lawsuit against maldives police service - No updates
• Anoof Junaid - Need to discuss a plan to use his photos... But only after some major site work
• Ashaavees Project Explanation - (Waiting on more information from the people behind the project)

Site Pages

A list of site pages and their updates. All pages currently lack.. pictures.. hopefully we'll be able to get anoof junaid to contribute.

• Home - Mostly done; I'll add more sections as we make the site bigger but for now we just need to update the 2 sections when we do finish writing the articles.
• Sitemap - This page is entirely done (I might add a section under Articles called "farudhee zinmaa" for articles about organizing and protesting), Also just refer to sitemap to see general structure of the site.
• Articles
  • Main articles page - All done (just needs articles)
  • miscellaneous articles - Won't have a dedicated page, you just access it through the sitemap.
  • Farudhee Zinmaa - Future page where it will just be dedicated to giving information on things to do (eg:- getting info from ministries through RTI, organizing protests, etc etc)
• Media - This is just a drive file with all media that will be used in the site (it is NOT organized yet)
• Gallery - The page is mostly done (we have no pictures or art yet) but I'm not very happy with the view feature yet.
• 12hr Presidential Press Conference - This page is NOT done... We need to upload the press conference (Noah has it downloaded) to youtube and then I'll embed the videos in the site. (In the future if we have time we'll also surmmarise the press but that is extremely low priority.
• Documentaries - NOT DONE. But I have the videos to embed collected... same process as ^
• Birds Eye View - Page is entirely done. The links under birds eye view on sitemap lead to the same page but it'll go to the exact section (once they're made obviously)
• Contacts - Mostly done... But I want to implement a way for people to send messages directly through the site.
• Community Board - I'll be honest I don't really have an idea of what to do with this YET. I need the collaborators to give me something to work with first. This is also where in the future I'll implement the chatroom in.

Site Works

I'll work on all these so if you have any questions, DM.

• Make a page for youtube video embeds. Making one page for the interviews (Maldives Files), one page for youtube documentaries, and one page for the 12hr press by embedding the tweets uploading the footage to youtube and then linking that. - Side note, I'll only link the police press conferences and other Yumn case related videos under birds eye view
• Work on markdown translator. (I need an article to test this out first actually)
• Work on the sources page. (Figuring out an organization systems comes with this part) Organization is complete now (refer to sitemap). There'll be other pages that are nested (mostly just as sources or under birds eye view)
• Chatroom implementation
• Actual Article page features - upvote, easy share, print article, embeds, link preview
• Iron out gallery page features
• Messaging straight from the site on contacts page
